What is it about design that I love so much? How did I get into it and where do I see myself going with it? Is it something I want to pursue professionally?
I discovered design in high school after I decided to take a graphic design class. At the time, I really didn't know what graphic design was or what it entailed. One class and I completely fell in love with the designing world. I've loved to draw and create since I was in grade school, but design was something completely new to me.
I started college as a graphic design major and ultimately ended up graduating with a degree in Media Communications. My goal then was to work my way into a graphic design position. Over the years my goals changed and my journey took me down some other routes, but now I'm back on the graphic design train.
My favorite thing to design is wedding stationary, but I also enjoy other print jobs such as business cards, invitation, infographics and more. Although I haven't done a lot of professional designing, I'm trying to build my portfolio and learn new skills.
I love designing because it's something I actually enjoy it. I enjoy taking an idea and turning it into something tangible, something you can see and share with those around you. I can't wait to continue to explore the designing world and keep working my way toward a career in graphic design.
